scam? From: Apple (do_not_reply@apple.com)

Email said someone accessed my account on an iphone 5 using ios 6.0.1. Is this in fact an email from apple or is it a scam?

It is a genuine scam email. Apple will only send email to the customers when:


• When you first set up an account

• Immediately after you add or change a contact address on an Apple ID


Also, an email from Apple will never ask you for a password, Social Security Number, or full credit card number.

Please don't click any links the email contains.
