Podcast doesn't resume after extended pause

Hello,

Whenever I pause a podcast and try to resume it using the control center or the remote an hour or so later, it starts playing a song from the music library. I need to resume it from within the Podcasts app. It's just annoying and i'm assuming it's a bug in the ios or app, unless there's a setting or option I'm missing somewhere?

I'm using Podcasts version 2.0.2 and ios 7.1
