crashes and screen goes black

My MacBook Pro 15" 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 periodically crashes and the screen goes black for no apparent reason. I am unsing Mavericks 10.9.2. Anyone have any idea on how to deal with this?

Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
