I am having the same problem - iPhone 6+ 128gig and a 2013 Honda CR-V.
I read in another post that turning off WiFi while in the car would resolve this problem. I was hesitant to believe it at first but it has now been 2 weeks since I have been turning wifi off when entering my vehicle and I have not had a dropped call since. The connection has been rock solid.
Hopefully, a permanent solution to this problem is coming in an upcoming update to iOS but for now this works!
SO I upgraded to the iOS 9.3 beta, and so far no more dropped (well, dropped then quickly reconnected to be precise) calls since I did the upgrade. This is after 1 day, so if I have a dropped call again I will post hit again, but this does seem to have solved it.
I am having the same issue with dropped calls on bluetooth. Using iPhone 6 with iOS 9.3 in 2013 Honda Pilot. The only thing that works is to turn off the wifi each time I get in the car. Very annoying. Reported this to the Honda dealer more than once. They seem clueless. I really wonder if it's a Honda problem.
what is the wifii trick
I had the same problem where my Honda CRV was keep loosing bluetooth connection from iPhone. Just remove that problematic phone (or better all phones) from list of phone connections from CRV Phone Setting Console and follow the process again to add a new phone (you can find the same in Car user manual). This worked for me. I also don't have to turn off my wifi.
I have iOS 9.3.1 and a 2014 CR-V. My iPhone 6 is connecting and disconnecting from bluetooth even when I'm not on the phone. Almost every time I drive the car.I thought it was a problem with phone and had Apple exchange phone. I now see there are others out there with same issue. I will try suggestions I've read here.
After deleting and reconnecting all devices in my Acura (including resetting all connections on my iPhone 6), turning off the wi-fi remains the only way to keep my bluetooth connection. What a hassle. Luckily, I can just ask Siri to do it for me. The problem is remembering to turn it back on when I reach home or the office.
I have the iphone6s plus. I have had this phone for a month now and up until last friday it has been connecting and working perfectly. For some reason it is now connecting and disconnection every few seconds. That said twice in two days it did connect about three attempts and stay connected when I had an incoming call. I know that when I try it again it will not connect. I've deleted the bluetooth connection on both the car and the phone and reconnected but has made no difference. Any help would be appreciated. The car is a Seat Leon latest model if that helps. Many thanks
Hi all,
could you please be more specific with your issues. you should provide more input, for example:
- what car do you have
- have you already checked the cars bluetooth version? Eventually you need to update it, or just contact the car dealer to update it.
- which iOS device are you using and also which iOS version?
Updating the iOS and also the cars system should be helping. Also many car manufacturer do not update their systems fast enough, which can lead to such issues. You should contact the car makers and provide them the informations above.
Greetings
Toni
Hi its a seat leon TDI 2013 plate. iphone 6 s plus with latest software 9.3.2. The car is going into dealer next week for everything with that to be checked. However, my sons iphone 5s seems to connect without this problem.
Hi Mantie,
well yes, this is as already stated an issue of the car makers, they do not often update their systems. So the older phones actually work better, then the newer ones. Thats why your sons iPhone 5S connects without problems. These issues should be handled faster by the car manufacturers, responding to new devices and new operating systems.
Please keep us here up to date on the things that will happen at the car dealer! Thanks. 🙂
Greetings
Toni
Thank you Toni, I will give an update as soon as they have looked at it. 🙂
I have a Honda 2013 CR-V and I got an iphone6 S Plus 3 weeks ago. It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. I have deleted all history from the phone, done a complete restore on the phone from the computer and none of that has worked. Then I took it back to the AT&T store where I bought it and they did a network restore. That didn't work either so they told me the next step was to take it to the Apple store. After waiting 40 minutes there they ran diagnostics on my phone and said the phone is fine so it was a waste of time. At this point the only step left is to go to the Honda dealer.
My phone was constantly disconnecting and reconnecting for the past 3 months or so in my 2014 Honda CRV. Drove me crazy seeing the display. I had it checked at the dealer. They said everything was OK. Yesterday, I deleted my phone from the car settings and repaired it. Problem has gone away. I see others have tried that and it did not fix the issue, but it worked for me. If you have not tried that yet, give it a try.
