How do I delete Firefox search engines?

I love Firefox but when I updated it to the current version (1.5.0.6) it seems to have installed some search engines that I don't want listed but I can't figure out how to delete a couple of them. I am running 10.4.7 on my G4 Mac. It's probably something simple.... Judy

G4 1.25mhz, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Hi Judy,

There's an extension you can install that allows removal of the search engine plugins but I'm not sure it's compatible with 1.5.0.6. If it's not, check back later by clicking on the search box and choosing Add Engines. The link to the extension is at the bottom of the page.

I tried that little program- installed it but can't figure out how to use it! I get a message to click on options and it brings up several windows that I just look at since I am at a loss of what I am seeing. I can't make it work. Judy

I believe you control click on one of the names in the search list and then you can select to delete it.
