11 April 2014 rejected by the server p04-smtp.mail.me.com

I was sending mail late last night 10.4.14. Went to sleep. Woke up 11.4.14 in the morrning and realised I could no longer send mail on any of my three devices. Realising that, one after the other. I have looked and nothing has changed. I am in France which is were am all the time at the momment. Not sure its a local issue however?

I have been getting this all day in advice box:

Connections to the server “p04-smtp.mail.me.com” on the default ports timed out.

Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.

I have had a look up at the manage ID area, yet I dont want to be to active as nothing I can see is out of order!

Any ideas of advice or having the same problem. Be good to hear from You.

I can get all the incoming mail!!

It does seem to be apple end from the look of that. Best contact them. I am sure they are getting used to it now!

I've been having a similar problem for the last week but without the specific p04 part:

Connections to the server “imap.mail.me.com” on the default ports timed out.

I'm not sure it is the same issue you guys were having but the main problem here was that the outgoing iCloud server kept showing as Offline in the list. After a bit of research, I went into the Mail preferences , opened the Edit Outgoing server list and noticed that the outgoing server was set to imap.mail.me.com. So I reset it to smtp and used all the settings from here:

and now everything seem to be working again. Hopefull this might help someone else.

I'm finally back on-line!! Went through a couple of levels of support then up to 'engineering' for trouble shooting. Not sure exactly what was done but mail is back on Mac, iPhone & iPad!! Maybe I got hung during the first fix of p04 issue??? 😕

Good to have mobile mail again though 🙂
