I was sending mail late last night 10.4.14. Went to sleep. Woke up 11.4.14 in the morrning and realised I could no longer send mail on any of my three devices. Realising that, one after the other. I have looked and nothing has changed. I am in France which is were am all the time at the momment. Not sure its a local issue however?

I have been getting this all day in advice box:

Connections to the server “p04-smtp.mail.me.com” on the default ports timed out.

Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.

I have had a look up at the manage ID area, yet I dont want to be to active as nothing I can see is out of order!

Any ideas of advice or having the same problem. Be good to hear from You.

I can get all the incoming mail!!

Thanks

Same problem here (Amsterdam NL). From the looks of it (google results 😁) there's something wrong with the iCould servers, but it has been taking all day, so kinda worried and pretty darn inconvenient (trying to run a business here.........).

Any ideas some of you might have are most welcome.

Cheers

update: Sending e-maisl throug icloud.com works. iPhone and iPad, however, not. Would have been awesome if Apple was a little bit more informative in these situations....

Thanks folks that has saved my sanity here. Yes, the Cloud works, yet not convenient for me, yet a hobble along!

Tell me about trying to run business while its down. Inconvenient I agree!

Its okay in London as I have phoned and asked someone to test?

I am Center West France!

I did check the Apple up and running area and they seem to feel it is!

Oh well see what time heals? 😐

I am sitting here with two Mac Book Pros, both using Apple iCloud Mail on the same network here in Florida.

One can send mail one can't.

The one working shows p03-imap.mail.me.com as incomming mail sever the one that doesn't, shows p04-imap.mail.me.com.

Both can recieve.

Both use iCloud (iCloud) with no TLS Certificate on outgoing.

Both usr 993 SSL and Apple Token Autherntication.

In otherwords, they are identical other than for incomming server and both can recieve.

Both running 10.9.3.

Both can use web based iCloud Mail.

I have even shut off iCloud Mail on the non working MBP and cleared out all mail then re conneceted and let it auto reconfigure. Back to square one.

I am thinking this isn't my end!

The only difference I can think of is the non working MBP has the same pasword for Apple ID and Mail, the working MBP has different passwords.
