Jittering cursor

I have the 15" MBP Retina (late 2013) running Mavericks; also an Anker 7 port USB 3 hub, a thunderbolt 3TB drive and a WD USB 3 Time machine. I use WiFi (d'uh!) over the 2.4Ghz band. I use a wirde mouse, usb 2'd into a wired Apple keyboard.

I find that the mouse pointer very often jitters around the screen - seems to be variable how much and how oftenthis happens - but it is extremely annoying. Is there a solution to this - I had hoped that using a wired mouse would sort it, but after a few happy weeks the jitering has re-started.

What suggestions does anyone have?

Hi there,

I have replaced my Anker USB hub with a Belkin USB 3 hub (from a London Apple Store). I have my Time Machine plugged into now USB port and the Belkin into the other. I almost never get that jittering ... however, if I take out my Time Machine USB and replace it with a Hama USB3 Compact Disk Card reader then I get them back again. Most irritating!, but I only need to do that when I am uploading photos ... but as I am a photographer, that happens reasonably often.
