iPhone keeps switching songs, pausing, skipping music and randomly activating voice control

Hi, I'd like to make a reference to this thread

I have the exact same problem and I can tell you for sure it is not the touch screen since this happens when the iPhone is blocked as well.

I too have an iPhone 4 and it has been happening since the last update with the variant that Voice control keeps getting activated as well. This is something that started happening with the last patch 7.1 (11D169)

Have tried to re-sync, wipe the screen, restart the phone, restore from backup, and even taking it to a tech service.

Please advise

iPhone 4, iOS 7.1

Hi billgeexby,

It sounds like you have been on the right track in troubleshooting this issue. If it has persisted after the steps you have described, my next suggestion would be to make sure you have a full and complete backup of your data in iTunes, then try restoring your iPhone to factory settings *without* restoring your data from the backup (at least yet). Test it for a while in this default config to see if the issue is still present. You may find the following articles helpful:
