Chrome won't run on Mac OS X

This happened once to me before and I can't for the life of me remember how I fixed it, even after much Googling.

So I restarted my computer, which of course restarts Chrome which is how Chrome updates. When I tried to open Chrome after the restart, the browser opens but it's blank. All my extensions and bookmarks are in tact, but no pages will load. There are no error messages. Mac OS X 10.6.8 and Chrome 34.0.1847.116.

Can anyone lead me through a fix? I found a couple for Windows machines, but they require things like using .exe and finding a folder that Mac just doesn't have.
