Hi. I have purchased additional icloud storage, and it shows in my settings on my iPhone but when I try to take a photo, it will not allow me to because it says I do not have enough storage. I reset since buying more storage but still does not work

I ran out of storage on my icloud and purchased more. On my iPhone it shows that I have several gb of free space but when I try to take a photo it tells me that I have not got enough storage. I have reset my phone but it does not rectify the issue. Can anyone help?

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.6

Thanks. I want to keep the photos in icloud so a restore option would not work as it would create the same problem (I.e. Restoring the same photos). I do not use a computer to sync with itunes, and surely that is the whole point of icloud storage - that I do not need to. My conclusion is that the only way to solve this is to delete photos from my phone after uploading to photobox and keep them in the camera roll so that they are not deleted from icloud in the next sync. This is all, as typically it is with Apple, far more complicated than it needs to be.

They won't stay in iCloud for more than 30 days (even if you purchase additional storage).

You need to download them to your computer.

-> iCloud: My Photo Stream FAQ

"How long are My Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud?

The photos you upload to My Photo Stream are stored in iCloud for 30 days to give your devices plenty of time to connect and download them."

Syncing has nothing to do with deleting from iCloud. iCloud photos stay there for only 30 days.

You should regularly sync your photos to your computer and empty the Camera Roll.
