My iPhone was sitting in the sun and the screen went black.
I know it still works because i can hear the camera sound. I've held the home and power buttons but the icon never shows. I've restored on Itunes and nothing.

Resetting and restoring your iPhone are the best troubleshooting steps to use if the screen is blank. Additionally, make sure you've charged your phone by connecting it to a power outlet using the USB cable that came with your device and an Apple USB power adapter. While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
