Some of Apple employees have admitted there is a problem, and others have not. Doesn't make you feel very confident with Apple when they don't acknowledge a problem or doesn't inform all staff of the problem.

As for updating to iOS7 and not wanting to? Shame on Apple for creating this problem (and there is very little doubt in my mind that they in fact created it) in order to have everyone update to iOS7. I've never liked the update and if given the chance to go back, I definitely would.

They told me same thing before on a ipod ios 6 in the past. They didnt know the server was having problems, so i took it to the store an they just verified that if i was typing the right password and email Then came up with saying just give it a few days, took only 2 days and it worked.

Now its taking more then 2 days and its same problem. I am not going to update my IOS to 7 for facetime. I am seeing Facetime has more problems with IOS 6, instead of IOS 7.

Update as of today, FaceTime is working fine for us. After updating our iPhones to the latest update 7.1 iOS our FaceTime still is working fine. If FaceTime isn't working for you make sure you are running on 7.1 and not on the infamous iOS 7. Apple put out its current upgrade 7.1 to override/fix bugs that was occurring on the iOS 7... When I first upgraded my iPad to iOS 7 it kept crashing and kept turning itself on and off! However, with updating our devices to the 7.1 We had no problems. :)

I still wish apple would be open and admit to the obvious elephant in the room with the FaceTime platform...

Hier die gleichen Probleme mit den folgenden Geräten (same issues with the following devices):

OS 10.8.5 - Macbook Pro 2008

IOS 6.3.2 - iPad 2

IOS 5.1.1 - Iphone 4S

Danke Appel für den Hinweis auf Probleme mit den FaceTime Services. Jede andere Firma informiert ihre Kunden über Einschränkungen der angebotenen Services - so aber nicht Appele. Das ist absolut inakzeptabel!

I don't think we should "bow to the will of Apple" and upgrade our phones to the latest iOS. We consumers should be allowed to pick what we like and not make upgrading of the phone as mandatory. Besides, it seems like there are iOS 7 users who are also suffering from this problem as well.

So far, no Apple representative have said anything on this board and this issue has yet to be officially addressed. I think this is a rather disappointing behavior from Apple.
