Screen Divided into 15 vertical lines.

Hi,

When my Macbook Pro MacBooc Pro A1278 is powered on it boots fine until it reaches the log in.

Then the screen is divided into 15 vertical lines.

I can log in when I click on my user profile, but as some of you may guess it is a little time consuming working on a screen behaving like this.

Last night a movie was viewed on it, worked fine.

This morning the screen was divided.

I can think of anything special that has been downloaded or installed laltely to cause this.

It has not been showered with or dropped to the ground either..

I would appreciate any feedback on this.

I am currently visiting Mongolia as a tourist so it is hard to do any physical/mechanical changes while I am here.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the super fast answer!

After letting the Mac just rest and have a nap with me not doing anything..It suddenly decided to act all normal again.

So, it might be as you said, that the GPU is funky.

It is only 6months old so I`ll have to send it to Apple when I am back in America again..

Thanks again for the quick help!

Regards,
Daniel
