Why has my face time stopped connecting it has been working on my i5 and iPad flawlessly until today

FaceTime is not allowing a connection today after success until today on my i5 or my iPad why?

Cannot send or receive FT today

This is not exactly true.


I am having problems connecting between two iOS6 devices ( iphone 4 and ipad2) and between my Mac running 10.7.5 ( Lion) and the other two.


I have found a system log that suggest the issue is connected to the caller ID ( unidentified ID ) - which obviously does not make sense as last week everything was working fine with the same Apple ID ( and email addresses ). So this seems to be Apple's issue, not our settings configuration.


Responses here suggesting to switch off/on, sign in/out Apple ID do not work.
