Clamshell mode + bluetooth?

I use my Macbook in clamshell mode while it's hooked to a 20" Cinema display. The external keyboard and mouse are attached to the USB port on the the display, and everything works very nicely. I would now like to purchase a wireless mighty mouse, thereby eliminating one more cord on my desk.

Here is my question -- will a bluetooth device (like the mighty mouse) pair with the Macbook while it is in clamshell mode? Has anyone tried this?

Thanks. I never realized I could use it that way. I guess as long as you have an external monitor it will not go to sleep.
I can confirm that the Logitech BT mouse works perfectly (I don't have a BT keyboard yet!)

Actually, it will still go to sleep, but if you tap the keyboard, it wakes up in single display (external) mode. Perhaps one day we can have a wireless display connection and then I'll have no cables and wires on the desk.

Yes, it will. I have a Bluetooth keyboard and the wireless Mighty Mouse paired to my MacBook and MacBook Pro with an external display in clamshell mode. It works just fine.

If you have the powercord (MagSafe) plugged into the computer and the A/C outlet, it will not sleep. This works with Bluetooth and USB mice / keyboards.
