RAM uprade on my G3 imac 500mhz ??????

hi running 128 and a 256 ram , whats the highest??
eg; 2 x 512,
also can i run say 256 and a 512 together, as it would be easier to buy one at a time.
i was under the impression i could run a max of 2 x 256.

any advice would be great

You can use 2 - 512 MB DIMMs for a total RAM of 1 GB.

You can mix the memory in the slots as you desire.

Your iMac can support a pair of 512 MB DIMMs. The 512 MB and 256 MB DIMMs will work fine together (probably best if they're both high-density). That's what I've got in my iMac DV now, and I've had no problems.
