Hi,
My Third Generation iPod Touch is stuck in DFU Mode (Completely Black Screen) and I cannot exit it as I have a broken Sleep/Wake button on the iPod. Even worse, iTunes will not see the device so I can restore it.
The only thing that I can think of is to wait until it's battery has completely drained and then restore it.
Please help me!

Try placing the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs and then restoring:

If necessary:
Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
and
RecBoot may have problems on 64X windows, then try:

Thank you for the help you have given me but I have decided to buy a new one, it's getting a little old now anyway.
Apple will give you a 10% recycling discount if you turn in an old iPod when you purchase a new one.
