Why are there no check boxes in the mail?
Really, why aren't there any checkboxes in the mail software on my computer or icloud so I don't have to look at every item to delete it? Is there someway to do that?
MacBook, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Thank you very much. Often it doesn't work in the web browser. It's easiest on my phone. I just think check boxes would be easier because I could use one hand and stop myself if I change my mind right away. Thanks.
To select multiple emails in the email list hold down the Command key and click on those emails you want to delete and use the Delete key.
OT
Just hold down the Shift key to select contiguous messages, or the Command key to select noncontigious messages, and press the Delete key or click the Delete tool in the toolbar.
Regards.
You said that you were using the Mail software. If you're using a web browser, that's a completely different issue, and is completely up to whoever is your email provider.
