Where are my pictures after backup?

When you backed up your pictures, you would have had to "import" them to the computer. When you imported them, you would have had to select where you wanted them imported to:

IMPORTING PHOTOS - WINDOWS/MAC

On a Windows machine, they are typically imported to "My Pictures" folder. They should be there unless you specified a different path.

The iPhone's backup is stored in a SQLite database format.

Photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.

After the photos are imported with your computer, the photos can be transferred to the new iPhone via the iTunes sync/transfer process.

You try one of the iPhone backup extractor applications that you can buy. A web search will turn up dozens of them.

Photos and videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll are just one part of the iPhone's backup.

The answer remains the same regardless if you are unable to transfer just the photos and videos in the old iPhone's Camera Roll to the new iPhone.

The iPhone's backup is stored in a SQLite database format which means you can't simply access the backup to extract photos and other data without using a utility that is designed for it. There is no need to do that unless you have erased the old iPhone.

Oh, I get it - no import was done at all, it seems? Unfortunate....
