Ratoc FR1SX Firewire to SCSI isn't working on Mavericks

I'm running 10.9.2.

I have a Ratoc Firewire to SCSI adapter that isn't working on Mavericks. Works on 10.8x and earlier.

Anyone else try using this adapter with Mavericks?

Any work arounds?

Is Apple still sorting out firewire issues?

Thanks.

I've been using that Ratoc device for many years now, and it continues to work as it should on my iMac (latest model) with the most current version of Mavericks.

I'll suggest a couple of things on the outside chance you haven't done them yet...

Check "About This Mac" / More Info... / System Report / then select "FireWire" and make sure the Ratoc Systems device is recognized in the "FireWire Bus" window.

If it's not recognized, you can try going to this page... http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/download/driver/firerex1_mac10.html ...and downloading the FR1SX Configuration Utility for Mac OS X 10.4 and later.

Can't 100% vouch for the above because Mavericks has been recognizing my Ratoc device without any outside help. Good luck.
