split regions during playback

I just started in on a new voice over project.

In previous versions of Logic I used to be able to split regions by playhead command-T while a track was running.

Now I have to stop- hit the command and start again.

I know that doesn't sound like a huge deal, but it really throws things off.

Every time I stop, the track is thrown a little bit out of context (I'm talking mentally here) and often I have to roll back to re-establish the flow and or musical context of my edits. This ***** in comparison to the old way and ends up taking twice as long... at least.

Am I missing something here? I've searched the key commands etc. and not found anything.

OR

Is this a feature that disappeared.

I already submitted a feature request, but I'm hoping maybe I just need to set a preference or something.

Thanks

well, I tried it here, and it works as expected (no stops necessary), both with my own custom keycombo (\) and with the default cmd-T. Maybe restarting Logic or restarting your Mac helps.

I restarted. Sorry, that was a duff move.

I should have tried it, but I was busy learning playing with new features.

I thought it was a change...

I'm always amazed in the new things that break lately.

I've been using Logic since a floppy disc version way back in emagic days and I expect certain things to break.

I didn't see this coming.

Thanks for having my back
