I never played WOW, but I played Warcraft III and on very populated area with high level creature, it kinda lagging and sttuter.

And I played it on my black macbook, and I don't think the high end and the low end processor affect that much.

It also might be the connection traffic is heavier than before and make it erratic. Use wired connection might result better connection than wireless connection for your case.

If you can lower your res setting (I don't know that much about WOW) might help you run smoother.

Good Luck

Not true - WOW has been universal binary for quite a while.

The internal Graphics card is the culprit if you have at least 1GB of ram. The options most affecting it are full-screen glow and 2 other I don't recall - but try it at screen-native res, but with all options off, and work your way up.
If it stays in a 8frame or so even in 'open' areas, I might re-install, or re-apply the OS update...

cheers,
dan

World of Warcraft has been supporting Intel Macs since patch 1.9.3, it is not running under Rosetta.

I play WoW as well and I can tell you that you will always find slowdown in crowded areas or outside - the fact that you still see slowdown with fully minimal graphics does worry me though. If you're running it in windowed mode, try going into Video Settings and lowering the resolution, then go into Interface and turn off the names above everyone's heads. I've found this increases performance slightly.
