Forgot iPod pass code to reset setting

I have forgot the password to reset my iPod to factory settings

Is there a way to change it or get it reset without the old code

iPod touch, iOS 7.1

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from a backup made with you set a Restrictsion, the Restrctions passcode will also be restored
