Stuck on Apple logo

My iPhone is stuck on the boot up logo and it isn't turning on. I've tried to restore it but it comes up with an error saying that it failed to restore iPhone please help

iPhone 4, iOS 7.1, Cracked screen and cracked back

Have u done hard reboot by pressing lock button and home button at once until apple logo appears and release then
