My emails, intermittently, whether being sent from my macbook or my iphone 5 are coming back saying connections not accepted from IP addresses on Spamhaus PBL
I have gmail. I don't know whether the problem is my apple products or my gmail.

If it's a legitimate retailer you can trust to use an unsubscribe link with, then you're pretty much okay to use it. If it's an email hawking enhancement pills, or other obvious junk, do not touch the unsubscribe link. Just delete the email.
Spoofing is a method where the person sending the email puts your address in the sender field, rather than their own. Apparently, it's very easy to do. Too easy. Email servers see your address as the sender and you get the bounce notices, not the person who actually sent the emails.
