Transfer photos from iPad to iMac

I want to transfer photos from iPad to iMac (iPhoto or Images or...). My iPad isn't recognize when I connect it on the Mac.

I've trided with iPhoto, ePhotoT free.

I can only synchronize the iPad with iTunes but can't find my Photos on the iMac after this synchronisation.

If somebody have an idea about what to do ?

I've a huge number of photos on the iPad, these photos have been transfered on the iPad from the SD card of my camera (my camera have been stoled and I don't have the SD card anymore)

Thanks for your answers.

You mean, your iPad is not recognized as a camera, when you connect it to your mac, since iTunes does recognize it as a device.

Check the Preferences in iPhoto > General. How is the option "Connecting a camera opens" set? Doesit say iPhoto? If not, change it.

Try, if the utitily "ImageCapture" can see your iPad as a camera, if iPhoto does not see it - see this help document:

iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer

I've checked: iPhoto > General is OK as you told.

On the utility "Image Capture", my iPad is not detected (it was some days ago, but it isn't now).

But, I've checked on the Informations panel > Diagnostic and use > diagnostic datas: I've several messages LowMemory-2014-04-27-21XXX.plist

may be it means my iPad have not enough free memory ? (there is 4.9 Go free for a capacity of 58 Go )
