Error -3253 while downloading a movie.

Received phone call from AT this morning and Engineering needed additional information for troubleshooting issue. Provided the additional information that they needed via Remote Advisor processes and was informed that that I should hear back from them no later than 05/10/14.

Hopefully this will convince them that the issue is with Apple and not our ISPs.

Same problem here, just started today after years of trouble free operation.....

I too am getting this error now after years and years of downloading without problems. They started a few weeks ago and I simply can't think of what the trigger might have been.

It started round about the time iTunes in the cloud and 1080p movies started (but this mitht be specific for germany).

Is there recent support activity?

Same problem as everyone else. Ist gen ATV. Takes repeated downloads after 15-20 download errors (error 3253) to get a movie.

Last month the 1st gen ATV stopped working completely.

This month its a new issue.... are they trying to move us along?

Also getting this on my Mac Mini, fully updated, no firewall problems, etc.

The problem seems to be with Apple's CDN servers. I wonder if they use Akamai and if it's Akamai's problem.

I had this same issue and it ended up being a firewall on my router. Please look at your router firewall settings!

Just installed and ran iTunes update 11.2 and this update appears to have resolved the issues I was experiencing. I hope that this update resolves everyone elses as well.

After Itunes update 1.2 loading a series (about 9 gb) no problem. After iTunes update 1.2.1 loading a movie no problem. Issue seems to be solved.
