CTO shipping status says...?

Could you guys do me a favor and tell me what your shipping status says on your CTO Mac Pro (if it hasn't shipped yet). The replacement for my stolen (off the FedEx truck) MP says "Not Yet Shipped" but I thought I remembered the original machine saying "Not Yet Complete" and then "Shipped". So, I'm wondering if something is wonky that I need to call in about as it's had the same status for days.

Hi Mark--I asked them yesterday about possibly receiving it today (Saturday). They said that the package was only marked for Mon-Fri delivery and I could not get it on Saturday. I used Apple's standard ground shipping. I called them back last night at about 11, which was 3 and-a-half hours after they gave me my tracing case #. The person who gave me the trace # told me to stay by the phone as someone would be calling me shorly. Of course, they didn't. The second guy told me that no one had even looked at it and wouldn't be until Tuesday. He also tried to tell me that it just may have taken a long time to get from their facility on the east coast to the city I'm in. I hate being lied to--The facility it's coming from is only about an hour from where it is supposed to be delivered to. He told me that if I call on Tuesday someone should be able to help. What a mess.

Mine was shipped Sept. 1st and i can't find it on Fed X and calling Apple they could not find a different tracking number. Seems it never left Apple yet. trying to figure it our but Fed X says there is only one package coming to me and it weighs a pouind. that is not my Mac Pro. frankly a little ticked off that Apple can't find were the box actually is. i did a retail order and not a web order and they can't get to that info. Sounds like BS to me

Yea I am giving it until Tuesday before I get really upset. Long weekends like this are nightmares for shipping companies. I just hope they did not rush production because it was Friday before the long weekend. What i find interesting is the amount of numbers Fed X uses. My Mighty mouse has the same amount of digits as the Mac Pro, But my 30 inch has 6 extra digits which is the normal amount for Fed X. Now my Mighty mouse arrived weeks ago but it must have something to do on where it is coming from and what factory , so were does the short amount of digits on the Fed X tracking come from is the question. The Mac pro tracking has 15 digits and says Fed X ground , anyone have 15 digits also and where did your box come from. i may need that for Fed X

Guy, I too thought I was getting a lot of BS. I think it's just been the impatient side of me wanting my new machine so badly. Fed Ex has been a bit slow updating the tracking information--On the first message (after Apple has indicated that it had shipped) it took Fed Ex over 24 hours to put in any information. After that there were a couple of quick entries, then nothing for something like 3 days. It was killing me, but I honestly believe that Fed Ex had nothing to enter--It was in transit from California to the east coast. My biggest fright has come over the last three days, after Fed Ex themselves had stated that expected delivery was Sept 1 and I didn't get it. I'm pretty sure you'll be getting some sort of update within the next couple of days. I'd suggest being patient, but I know that's not going to help. Good luck, though. By the way, I chuckled when I read your message that you'd cancelled your original order with the upgraded video card.

Just wondered whether this guy got it yet as he's in UK like me and I was going to order the identical spec except

downgrade CPU to 2.0
downgrade HD to 160
upgrade to btooth + wireless
upgrade to 2MB RAM

Also - I notice in UK the shipping date increase from 2-3 days to 2-3 weeks only if you order BOTH btooth + wireless - ordering either on their own defaults to 2-3 days - mmmmh weird.

I thought I was the only one downgrading the disk - but good to see I'm not alone - I never seem to need it all.
