how can i make a bar graph in numbers to track trends

I have a table with columns A-K. All the columns have needed data for other things. I need to track trends of incorrect input by staff. Column A has the date and column K has a 1 if incorrect or it's blank if correct. I only need to use the month as I need to track total incorrect for the month to see if there is a downward or upward trend as training progresses. (i need to create a line graph that shows the total incorrect per month) I will be tracking for a long period of time so would be nice if the graph updated as I input more info into the table.

Well of course!! I did try it but should have before I asked the question. Your formula had one very minor error (not that mine wouldn't have had multiple errors) the first value should have been a "K" instead of an "F" but no big deal because after a little trial and error I figured it out. Thanks very much for taking the time to help me.

I also needed a pie chart showing the % of total incorrect vs correct. I couldn't figure out how to be able to put a blank instead of a 1 and decided the easiest way would be to assign a "0" to the blank cells, which was the easiest way to go.

To create a pie chart from the "Problem" column is to add a small summary table like this:

User uploaded file

Table 2 on the right summarizes the information in to two categories ("Problem" and "No Problem") with the corresponding count for each.

For table 2:

the first column is a header and the first row is a header.

B2=COUNTIF(Table 1::E, 0)

B3=COUNTIF(Table 1::E, 1)

now select cells B2 and B3, then add a pie chart
