My iPhone 5 keeps trying to send text messages

I just updated my iphone software from 6.? to 7.1.1 i think on the 4/30/14, and now it keeps trying to send text messages. I have no phone credit, so i get a message back from my provider saying I do not have enough credit to send a text message to this number (does not show what number). It happens every 5 to 10 min or so. I signed off of all of my email accounts, turned the phone on and off a few times. The message pops up as soon as the phone turns on. I even turned off iMessage. Does not work. Can anyone tell me why? And more importantly how to stop it? Thanks

I'm not sure this helps, but it seems the messages are sent by FaceTime and/or iMessage services, not exactly sure why, but it has something to do with their setup. However, I've disabled both of them and the messages are still getting sent.

How is this even legal? It sens out messages against cost that I did not approve or even acknowledged. Another reason I'm happy to use pre-pay. But the spamming of "you have no credit" messages is very annoying. I would very much like to know how to get it to stop.
