iPhone 5 front glass panel separating/lifting away from body?

Thanx for your info on the screen lifting @ the corner of your iPhone 5, the exact thing happened to mine yesterday, I watched the screen lift & bright light started shining through! I thought I was dreaming? do to your conscientious posting here I was able to explain the problem to an Apple tech. He was able to get me an appointment to repair or replace my phone! Thank you! Hi... Did Apple fix the problem for you? Did they charge you? About two weeks or so ago, I noticed my screen started to lift upward along the entire left edge, with light coming from behind it as well. I'm suspecting a bulging battery as well. Thanks.

This morning our iPhone 5 screen was popped out. I read that Apple's repair/exchange for this ended in January. Took it to the Apple Store to see what they would say...we were going to buy a new one if we had to. After they took a look at it they swapped it out for us no charge.

That iPhone 5 was purchased a few months after the model was introduced, I'm pretty sure. Never had Applecare on it. I think I once replaced the camera in it myself. I probably could have put a new battery in it for less than $20.00 but the battery swelling may have already damaged other components.

The value of the service was $269.00 according to the receipt I got. It's a shiny, new-looking iPhone 5.

It's worth a shot. It might depend on who you talk to or if the store has a replacement iPhone 5 in stock.

I have the same problem unfortunately I don't have a Apple Store close to me what can I do
