Is there a way to remove scratches from chamfer edge on iPad Air

I have an iPad Air. One of my friend gave it to me when it was just released on last November for my late birthday gift. I never dropped this thing since I had it. Today, I noticed that chamfer part scratched, mainly at the bottom side of my device including edge. My hand is really sencitive to those and when I touched the side of my device, it felt smooth and nice. Is there anyway I can remove these scratches? I have box and everyone, so will Apple replace it when I show them since it's only five month old?

They will deem it accidental damage and will not replace it unless you have apple care plus and pay the service fee.

Have you though about putting a cover on it? like a back silicone cover or Zagg has their invisishields for the back. It'll be easier than trying to fix it.

I've been using Griffin Survivor defender case after I got my iPad to get some protection for about three month. However I didn't liked it quite a bit. Sound comming out from the speeker sounded muffeled as well as reducing the quality of the microphone and front facing camera. It also covered the beautiful design as well as adding weight and make actual device thicker. So I'm crrently using folieo case but today I had to use it without folieo case because I had to take a picture and this type of case gets on my way. Well I accdently dropped onto the carpet flore but I thought it wasn't the heavy drop because I was at my house and the carpet I have it on my ouse was supar soft. So I thought this drop wouldn't affect my iPad Air so I just ignored it. Is this a cause of scrached chamfer part?

I would say it's pritty minor and unnoticeable less you touch it or feel it. I have visual impairment so I'm just sencitive to those stuff so sorry if I were to pickey about tiny little bumps and scratches. I don't even know if it's visible to normal cited people.

If it bothers you it's not minor. I think I'd take mine to a jewelers and ask if they could do something about the scratch.

See Skydiver's answer. I doubt they'll just hand you a new iPad. It would be best to take your iPad to the Apple store and see what your options are.

OK, great. I will show them and see what they will do about this. Hopefully they can replace it. I will go to Apple Store once I get a chance to go sometime this month.

I just chat with one of Apple support person before I take it to Apple store and here is what there saying. "The damage is a result of accedental damage, not something which the hardwere did on its one." I also asked them if I take it to Apple store if they can replace it, but responce are, they want me to pay $299 for replacement. Well I think this doesn't make any since becuase iPad itself wouldn't cause the problem like this, so I just decided to use it and not replace it for another $299. It just gets on my way, but when I asked cited people, there saying that it's pritty minor.
