itunes purple icon & blue icon with music note/burning cd/what is gift msg?
I have itunes on an intel imac and have imported songs on cd's (that I purchased) into itunes. When I created the playlists for these classical albums, the icons are purple (with a black flower in the middle). These were all old, classical albums, not available from itunes music store, so I had to hand type all the foreign song names. This weekend, a friend brought over a cd that she loves and we imported it into my mac's itunes. When I created a playlist for these songs, the icon is blue with a black flower--not purple. I suspect that this album could be bought from itunes, but I didn't check. What is the difference between when a purple icon is created by itunes for a playlist and a blue icon?
I want to burn my friend's songs onto a cd for my car. Is there any difference in burning from a playlist that is a purple icon versus a blue one?
I have a used cd-rw cd that has a previous computer's backup data on it. It looks like I need to go into imac's applications/disk utilities and erase it???
(I haven't done that yet.)
When I started to burn the cd, I got some message about do I want to give a gift or do something about a shuffle imix. WHAT is the msg all about?
THANKS....
