iTunes not recognizing audio cds

I have been using iTunes for a while without trouble but now it will no longer recognize audio CDs. I have the most updated driver and firmware. I ran the CD Diagonistics and got the following:

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
Dell Computer Corporation Dimension 3000
iTunes 6.0.5.20
CD Driver 2.0.4.3
CD Driver DLL 2.0.3.2
LowerFilters: GEARAspiWDM (2.0.4.3),
UpperFilters: Cdralw2k (7.0.1.28), GEARAspiWDM (2.0.4.3),
Video Driver: Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller\Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller

If you have multiple drives on the same IDE or SCSI bus, these drives may interfere with each other.
Some computers need an update to the ATA or IDE bus driver, or Intel chipset. If iTunes has problems recognizing CDs or hanging or crashing while importing or burning CDs, check the support site for the manufacturer of your computer or motherboard.

Current user is administrator.

D: SONY DVD-ROM DDU1615, Rev FDS3
Failed trying to read media, error 263.

E: PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8631, Rev CD21
Failed trying to read media, error 263.

The last failed audio CD burn had error code -128(0xffffff80). It happened on drive E: PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8631 on -128(0xffffff80) media at speed 0X.

****Does anyone know what error 263 is? *

I also tried changing my registry settings as suggested in the help/support file but did not work.

Please help if you have any suggestions.

Thanks!

hi, this could be a gracenote cddb issue, when you pop in an audio cd, itunes tries to access the gracenote database > if it cannot then sometimes the cd will not populate in itunes. to test : disable your internet connection entirely > then pop in an audio cd > does it read the disk? > then it is likely and issue with something blocking itunes from querying that site/server.
