    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I found the answer on another forum shortly after pulling my hair out and posting my question. I'm so 'OId School' I hired Desktop Publishers to set my hand-drawn Ads for years, have only been on a computer a few years learning at a snail's pace; and am 'One Click' from being a Computer Genius. Just can't find

'the Click', but thanks to forums and help from kind souls such as yourself; I've found a few Clicks. :~)

I had no problem getting the Thought Bubble on the Pic, but couldn't figure out how to type the words into the bubble. The quite simple, as usual, Answer: "Double-Click in the Bubble & Cursor appears". Too Crazy. Seems the 'Brains' who came up with and implemented all these great ideas; would have been intelligent enough to create a little pop-up bubble 'Double-Click in the Bubble to Type"!

Anyway, after learning That 'Click', I was quickly stumped trying to find the Next desired 'Clicks':

      A. How to create/type Separate lines of type in the same Bubble?

      B. How to make each Line a Different Pt. Size?

      C. How to control Leading and Tracking?

      D. And at the moment Most of All: How to Delete or Remove the Bubble from the Pic??

While trying to find That elusive 'Click, accidently dragged Another Bubble onto the Pic; and can't delete        them! (Heck, I Still haven't figured out Why space bar won't work or how to move 'them!' to justify under 'While')

Please HELP with the 'Clicks', as I'm 59 and already nearly out of Hair! :~)

First trick is asking the right question, second is aking the right people.

There is no way to add a thought bubble to a photo in iPhoto and there is no way to add text to a photo - or indeed, a thought bubble - in iPhoto.

So what app are you using?

    Terence,

    WOW, 'Level 10'?  In iPhoto??

Maybe I'm Not as computer 'Illiterate' as I thought. My approach is always to be as Tactful as possible, always keeping in the back of my mind; I just Might, or Could be Wrong. However as an 'Old-School' 34-Year Business Owner, it's Not often.

As mentioned in my prior reply:

    1. I had NO Problem getting(adding) the Thought Bubble on my 'iPhoto' Pic.(I suspect, in the iPhoto App)

    2. I found the Correct Answer on another forum shortly after my post. (Unfortunately, I didn't 'Cut & Paste')

    3. I hired ("Affluent") Mac Desktop Publishers for Years.

Your previous Reply/'Answer", brought back specific memories of Several professed & hired "Affluent Macintosh Desktop Publishers"; who stated after being given certain assignments or Questions- "That Can't be Done". Although incredibly, You were privy to my earlier reply Prior to your Exact statement, I had Not previously informed Any of these(former) employees; their predecessors had Already completed these Same assignments.

These experiences taught This 'illiterate', even some Mac 'Level 10's' are Also Still 'One Click Away' way from being a Computer Genius; And sould also consider using a little Tact. However, thanks for your effort and reply.

    Couponman,

really, I have worked with all iPhoto versions, since iPhoto has been released. iPhoto simply does not support graphics compositing. There is no way to draw anything onto an iPhoto image, unless you use a plug-in or an external editor. Have you set up an external editor in iPhoto's Preferences?  If yes, which editor are you using? Preview could add thought bubbles to a photo.

The only thought bubbles I am seeing in iPhoto are the comments on a shared photo stream. Seeing, that your original posts links to a knowledge base article about Photo Streams - are you trying to fill in Photo Stream comments?

    2. I found the Correct Answer on another forum shortly after my post. (Unfortunately, I didn't 'Cut & Paste')

Don't keep us in the dark - what is the "correct" answer you have been looking for?

WOW rude to people who try to help you? Maybe you're 'just one click away' from common courtesy.

    Good luck with that.

    Hi leonie,

Thanks again for your reply and tactful help and understanding. Although as mentioned, after reading another forum I was able Somehow to add the Speech Bubble and then inserted the text to one of my photos; but evidently I'm wrong in feeling it was with, in or whatever, iPhoto.

And thanks for catching Terence's back, as it restores my faith in the 'Level 10' rating system. Researching other topics, I'm aware he is extremely computer intelligent and his(as Yours) attempted help was greatly appreciated. We all simply can't a point across sometimes and come out smelling like roses. :~)

And evidently asking the question correctly obviously Is the trick, as well as challenge. As are Replies by those grateful enough to at least Try to help; as well as those like Myself seeking and truly appreciating it.

So, please accept my apology for evidently Not asking my question correctly; and allow me to garner Anyone's help whose willing to at least Try. Still being a PageMaker 6.5 stabber, I'm not computer literate enough nor have the appropriate time now to even try to answer all your questions. However the correct answer I found on How to add Text in the Bubble(However I was able to Actually get the Bubble On the Pic): "Double-Click inside the Bubble and begin typing". Possibly I placed the Bubble on or in the Pic, through 'Preview'.

Then was immediately stumped on my questions I'm seeking correct answers to which were listed in my initial response and again below. Answers will again be greatly appreciated.

      A. How to create/type Separate lines of type in the same Bubble?(or unattached/grouped lines)

      B. How to make each Line a Different Pt. Size? (if desired)

      C. How to control Leading and Tracking? (like 6.5 allows)

      D. And at the moment Most of All: How to Delete or Remove the Bubble from the Pic??

While trying to find That elusive 'Click, accidently dragged Another Bubble onto the Pic; and can't        delete them!

    Have a great day!

Again, the answers to all those questions will depend on the app you are working in.

    As you seem unsure:

Possibly I placed the Bubble on or in the Pic, through 'Preview'.

Have a look at the top left hand corner of the screen. The programme name will be up there.

I fail to see what could have been offensive in my post above, but it was certainly not my intention to offend.

If youhave a preview question then the iPhoto forum is not the place to ask it - try the forum for your OS

    Terence,

Now that we've traded 'WOW's', untactfulness; and actually finding the 'Click' of rudeness; please accept my apology for coming accross as seeming unappreciative of your reply and attempt to help solve my slow and old-*** self's questions and ineptness.

However, I've Never been appreciative of anyone telling Me, I 'Can't Do' Anything. Especially After I at least Thought I'd already done it. As mentioned, I also fired some of them. :~)

Evidently mentioning 'iPhoto' somewhere, although I glanced back and couldn't find it; was set both of us off the wrong way. Being extremely frustrated with Myself after the hours I'd spent to actually get that stupid Speech Bubble on a Pic(However I actually ended up Doing it), and already moved on to the seemingly brick walls or questions; it was difficult to be tactful upon receiving your reply.

I don't want to take anything away from the great things you do in trying to help those as Myself when in need.

    Have a great day.

Have you noticed which forum you're in?  That suggests iPhoto to me.

We're all very curious about how you managed so solve your original problem because none of us believe it's possible with iPhoto. If we knew which app you are using, we might be able to help answer the questions you asked. But we're all certain that it's not iPhoto.

And since there seems to be some confusion about how we started going down the iPhoto road in the first place, I'll point out that you posted your question in the iPhoto forum. That's why everyone assumed you were asking an iPhoto question.

Thanks. If I'd known I had a 'Preview' question, I might have known I Didn't have an 'iPhoto' question. I'm so Green and having a question concerning Photo editing; I figured out how to post my first question on the first forum I noticed concerning 'Photo' editing. At the time, I didn't realize the 'i' made That much difference. By Now, it's certainly obvious it Did here. I feel like a Minnow who mistakenly jumped in to a Shark Tank feeding frenzy. :~)

Unknowingly I Asked for it though. And by the time this feast is over; hopefully someone who knows more than 'iPhoto' will know and share the answers, even though I made the Wrong click.

Thanks for your comment and Have a great night.

No, I didn't think to look all the way back to which forum I'd accidently stumbled into; or I wouldn't have mentioned I Didn't remember previously Mentioning 'iPhoto'. I Did however, keep wondering why You All were.

Keep in mind, if it weren't for illiterates as I; You guys wouldn't be able to feel higher than the Sky.

Thanks for your comment and creative inSight. Have a great night.
