Macbook Pro speed test
Hello,
I have a question about results of a Macbook Pro 15 mid 2012, 4 gb memory, 500 gb HDD, procesor 2.3 ghz, Intel core i7.
I atach the print screen with this results wich in my opinion are not satisfaied.
That speed test shows the read and write data rate TO YOUR HARD DRIVE. You can replace the Hard Drive with an SSD if you want faster Read and Write rates.
IT may cost you some money. Is there a performance problem you are experiecing that makes you want to trade money for speed?
If it is just the information regarding the data rate I suggest you hold onto your money. If you are doing something that is taking too long and you NEED more speed, then look into SSD drives.
Easiest things to change are:
1) Add more RAM
2) get a faster HD (maybe higher rotational rate... like a 7200 RPM)
3) Switch to an SSD
