How to keep a permanent copy as a shortcut to paste

Does anyone know if you can keep a permanent copy of something, to paste at anytime. For example, my email address. I am constantly typing out my email adress into places but is there a way to somehow store a copy of my email address and use a shortcut to paste it whenever it may be?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

If you want an easy way to use text shortcuts do the following:

1. Go to system preferences.

2. Click Keyboard

3. Click the Text Tab

In the replace column type your shortcut ( let's say your email is TrippingBaliz@gmail.com) so make your shortcut tbz.

In the with column type your email address.

This will work the same way on your iOS devices if you set them up on eac device.

Does this work for you?
