Gimp Printing Problems

I just installed the latest version of the GIMP on Tiger (10.4.7) and I cannot get anything to print on my Epson Stylus Photo 820 injek printer.

I selected the right printer model in the setup panel, and have tried all the permuations of the options, but nothing works.

Has anyone had any success with printing out of the GIMP?

iMac (Intel), Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I recently had a problem with using epson Rx620 and gimp,
I had to download a driver for the intel duo core - epson said gimp would work for mine.
Hopefully this will help you.

Geesus...what a f#$%'n pain in the butt....

The only way I got the GIMP to print on a 10.4.7 intel-iMac was to download Gutenprint v5.0, ignore the outdated documentation (which points to the app Print Center on Jaguar) and figure out how to install Epson SP-820 with the CUPS+Gutenprint version of the Epson driver.

You MUST install the CUPS+Gutenprint driver for this to work (using the printer model drop-down list).

FYI: installing the drivers from support.epson.com for Mac-for-Intel does NOT work with the GIMP.

omg, im so sorry I made to typo, I meant gimp not work with my printer / driver that I had.
