Forgot restrictions passcode

In settings, under general, restrictions, I have forgotten my restrictions passcode. Is there anyway to reset this without a trip to apple store?

Is there any possible way to restore to new without accessing iTunes. Long story but computer has been hacked and I'm afraid to plug phone into it do to past issues. Already lost multiple email accounts and although I believe iphone to be safe I know the computer may not be. Or do I have to wait til I have access to a different computer? Thanks for your patience.

See wjosten's post from earlier. The only way to remove the restrictions passcode is to restore the device as new, removing all content. You cannot use a backup if it was done when the password was in place, as the backup contains the password. There is no way to reset it, and a trip to the Apple Store will not get it reset either. They can only restore the device as new also.

I don't understand why everyone says to go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings when it then asks for the restrictions code to run the option. - which we can't remember. I have also tried the option to go to icloud.com but the phone does not show in the list of devices. This also does not make sense since the phone tells me I cannot restore an old backup because Find My Phone is on! Ahhhhh

So I remember my passcode to unlock my iPad. I don't remember the RESTRICTIONS PASSCODE, which is used to restrict content on the iPad. This is iPad is mainly used by my daughter. It's an old iPad 2 and I want to restore it to factory to get all my content off.

I go to "RESET AND ERASE ALL SETTINGS" , it asks for passcode, I put in the correct passcode. The 2nd step it asks for RESTRICTIONS PASSCODE. This I cannot remember.

I'm trying to erase via iCloud browser login right now. That may be the easiest solution.
