How to completely remove camtwist?

I installed this plugin "CamTwist" (I don't even remember why at this point) and it has been harder to eradicate than a virus. After trying many different things it still causes me problems. For example it's still selectable as a input device on many programs such as skype. Sometimes it auto selects itself and whenever it's selected it produces a blank screen or a bunch of garbage input.

Can anyone tell me how to completley remove it once and for all?

Step 1: open CamTwist

Step 2: right click on CamTwist (in Dock) and click Options, Show in Finder

Step 3: open the uninstall terminal window and enter your password (password dosen't show up, but still is getting typed)

Step 4: Done!

Hi! I hope this helps. This works with CamTwist 3.0. I don't know if it works with other versions too, but it probably will.

1) Delete CamTwist from your Applications folder.

2) Then remove the plugin by pasting this into Terminal:

sudo rm -rf /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/CamTwist.plugin

This worked perfectly for me.... Thank you. I was having the exact same problem. Camtwist manages to show up in your system as another camera altogether. This code removed it for me.

Problem solved - I downloaded the app and in the manual install folder there is an uninstall command:

sudo rm -rf /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/CamTwist.plugin

sudo rm -rf /Applications/CamTwist

Hi,

He means open the Terminal App in Applications/Utilities and enter the line of code that was posted and then press enter/return to make it work.
