How to restore hidden calendar on iPad?

Swipe from screen to screen to look for it. Or swipe down from the middle of the home screen and enter Calendar into the Spotlight Search field.
Check Settings>General>Restrictions>Privacy>Calendars and make sure that you didn't restrict it somehow.
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.
