Getting Oregon Trail 5 to work on a MacBook Pro

I recently purchased a copy of "The Oregan Trail" version 5 on ebay. It appears to have installed just fine on my MacBook Pro but when ever I try to run the application, it says that I need a font called "New York-18" to be installed before I can run this program. I took quick look around the internet and the program classic kept popping up in discussion boards, however it appears that the intel-based MacBooks don't support classic. Is there another way to install this font onto my computer, or is my new program completely worthless to me?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I just found a link for the version 5 software:
http://www.kidsclick.com/descrip/oregon_trail5.htm
It looks like it should run on OS X, no need for classic.

As for getting the proper fonts, here's another link:
http://support.riverdeep.net/fix.asp?isid=42042&prog=1294820236
basically, they're telling you to find a friend who still has OS 9 and copy the font from their system folder to your Library/Fonts folder

I hope that helps
