Printing multiple pages to 1 .pdf file

Im making the swith to mac, and I need a way to print multiple pages to one single .pdf report that I can save or email as one attachment. I generate multiple page reports for work every day, so printing pages individually to end up with 20-30 .pdf pages to figure out to merge into one .pdf report (a couple times a day) is not goint to cut it. I used adobe printer and more recently pdf factory pro on my windows pc (which was perfect because it showed up as a printer, then printed all pages into one window which I could then save and email right from the program), but cant find any kind of pdf printer for mac that produces the same results. Everything I've tried prints each page individually....grrr I NEED a single report output with multiple pages!!!

I know there is an option to save as .pdf built right into the mac when selecting a printer, but even that makes several individual .pdfs

I'm loving the mac so far, but this little hiccup has me irritated!!!! 😕😠😢

Anyone???

If the document that you are trying to create a PDF of has multiple pages then the Save as PDF feature will save all of the pages into a single PDF document.

If you have several PDF documents, you can highlight them all and drag them over the Preview icon to open them all in a single Preview document. You can then again select Print and save as PDF. It will save all of the pages into a single document.

Figures, I spen all day trying to figure this out, and answered my own question after posting.

For anyone else who needs this answer,

1. in the print window, ".pdf" in the lower left corner,

2. "Open .pdf in preveiw"

I did this 1,000 times and finally found that you can change the preferences to print them "all in one window" vs "individual pages' (which was the default). I had to get to preferences from one of the pages (top left next to the apple, click "Preview", after you do 1 & 2 above, then select "Preferences"), then go back and do it again so it all printed in one window. Not sure if there is another way to change the preferences without doing it that way, but worked for me
