the operation cannot be completed because you do not have permission to access

Hope someone can help? I have search previous threads and asked google but to no avail... I am trying to copy my iTunes (complete) to another drive. I get so far then get the message that I cannot continue the operation cannot be completed because you do not have permission to access. I have checked each file individually and all are read and write and non are locked. Why is this happening?

Why this is happening is most likely due to a hidden file.

There are 2 ways to approach this. 1st is to get Info on your iTunes folder. Scroll down to the "Sharing & Permissions:" area. On the bottom you will see a Lock. Click on that and enter your Admin password. Next on the gear pulldown menu to the left of the lock, Click on it and select Apply to enclosed items... After this is done then try to copy the folder again.

If this doesnt work then you can right click on your iTunes folder and compress it. Move the zipped file to your other drize and double click on it to decompress. Then just delete the zip files. (This is the solution I use when I get that error)

I am creating new problems here I thinks! I tried the CCC to no avail as it tells me I do not have sufficeintl permisson to write to the drive?? I have changed ALL folders as suggested to read and write and allow internal files to be same. Now when I open the new drive - I cannot delete the files that were initially created as I get error -51? Also, I cannot make a new folder as I am told I do not have sufficient permissions. I have spoekn with the BackUp provider who tells me that I have to upload slowly - bit by bit as it cannot cope with huge uploads. But now, I can't even create a file to upload to! Would really appreciate any help. Thank you.

Well - I have a large music folder and large iphoto folder and I want to access them on my limited ipad and iphone. I can't be doing with trying to select certain folders when syncing on itunes - so i thought if I could access them in a cloud that would solve my issues. I already have a BackUp service with them - (same as LiveDrive and JustCloud) but these guys are quite personal and have a good support package and phone support - and to top tht are much less expensive. Charging £49.99 per annum for unlimited backup and 512GB backpack. I have also got Amazon Cloud Player which is excellent - but expensive and was going to cancell that one - but perhaps I should look at buying extra space with them for my photos - although that won't cover me for cloud back up of whole Mac.?? I dont really know what im doing to be honest!

If it worked it might be worth it, but as it doesn't you are paying far too much for it.
