Quicken on MacBook - Trial Version?

Is the Quicken that comes pre-installed on the MacBook a trial or limited version? I just got my MacBook a few weeks ago (PC convert). I am accustomed to using Quicken on a PC, but was just starting to use Quicken on my Mac. I added my checking account just fine, but I can't seem to add my car loan.

I'm not sure if it's because the Quicken that came with my MacBook is a trial or more basic version than what I am used to, or if perhaps I am doing something wrong. I read everything in the "loans" section of the Quicken user guide, and seem to be doing everything correctly.

I know that there are several levels of Quicken for Windows, and I am accustomed to using a deluxe version. Are there similar versions for Macs? If so, what version comes pre-installed? If this is the full version, I must be doing something wrong. Any help anyone has would be great!

Rebcha, welcome to the Apple Discussions!

The Mac version of Quicken is apparently different from the windows version (from what I've heard) but I don't know how different.

Quicken on our MacBooks is bundled software, it's not a trial or limited version.

Maybe if you go to the Quicken support site you'll be able to get your answers!

Good luck.

The Quicken version that came with your Macbook is a full version of Quicken for Mac 2006 or 2007. There is only 1 version available unlike the windows versions. Not everything can be transferred successfully from windows to OS X. Go to Quickens website and you should be able to find answers to most of your questions. I have been using Quicken since 1992. Its very frustrating to switch from Windows to OS X, but well worth it when you set up Quicken for Mac.
