Safari freezes after every download, have to force quit

For the past week or so, every time I download a file from the web, Safari freezes. The only way to fix the problem is by force quitting the application. I have two plugins (Saft and Inquisitor), but they've been installed for a while and I haven't had any problems.

Any idea how I can get Safari to stop freezing?

Tanks!

Similar problem here. Safari 2.0.4 is frozen after downloads. It appears as responding in the Dock but everything is locked up in the window. The only way to bring back Safari to life is to quit and open again (no force quit is needed for me).

Saft 8.3.4 is the only plugin I have installed.

I tried removing Saft, repairing permissions, applying latest OS X Combo update, cleaning Safari cache and installing Saft again. The problem is still there...

Any help anyone?

I Just called Applecare and the problem is fixed. The rep had me

1. Delete the Home > Library > Caches folder.
2. Delete the Hard Drive > Library > Caches folder.
3. Pull the com.apple.safari.plist file from the Home > Library folder to the desktop.
4. Restart the computer.
5. Empty the trash.
6. Download a file to make sure it worked.
7. Once it did work, delete the com.apple.safar.plist file.
