See steps below:
Step 1: Find and tap the audios you want to save in WhatsApp dialog.
Step 2: Choose the forwarding options and click the forward button in the lower-right corner.
Step 3: Select the Email option and set your Email address as the recipient to send the audio message to yourself.
what a ridiculous reply. In all smartphones across the world, we can save easily to SD or Phone memory. It's onl is iphone or ios you can't save. Hence it's not whatsapp issu but ios issue.
another best way to save is to forward that audio to email and download in PC.
Hope apple learns earns these simplicity from the smartphones of the world.
Open WhatsApp in a browser (Chrome or Safari). Go inside the chat, select the message and you will see a download button on the upper right corner. Use it to download the file on your laptop. Now you can play with this file the way you like.
as if someone has asked a question which is completely against apple's community! hummm ok the answer is iphone does not have the option or feature to move an audio file or a music file which is sent from another smartphone. I had this issue recently and smoothly fixed it using a third party software "syncios" which enables you to move files across computer. pretty kooler than itunes (y)
hello Apple20141,
This is not the responsible answer that we expected..
We know whatsapp is not created by Apple, but where it supports for android or other mobiles why apple alone not allowing to save the audio or mp3 files, why don't apple get in touch with Whatsapp and solve it, because it's disappointing apple users only, understand that pls.

No one here would know why Apple has chosen not to allow people to save files from an app such as Whatsapp, though, if I had to guess, I'd say security and to discourage pirating of music.
You can submit feedback to Apple requesting that they make a change here:
EMAIL THE AUDIO FILE TO YOUR SELF AND THEN DOWNLOAD IT TO YOUR ITUNES. AND LAST THING SYNC WITH UR IPHONE.
HOPE THIS HELPS🙂
This is not an iphone-specific problem. The person who sent you the files should have known that you cannot save them from WhatsApp person on any smart phone
Best help is to Contact whatsup support for iOS at support@whatsapp.com

I understand you think this is a Apple problem but Apple Haven't created this App
There's no way to save it into the songs library in the iPhone, but there's a way that you can save it into the photos only ..
To do this you should view the media (from Whatsapp), select the audio (music) file + any other picture from the pictures received on Whatsapp and SAVE them..
That's all I can help you with ...

Hi,
Thanks for your message.
The iPhone can't send or save songs because of the limitations of iOS, whereas other phones can because the file system is more accessible. Unfortunately we cannot comment on any future plans, but nonetheless, please know that we value and use your feedback to improve WhatsApp.

It helped me. I am using iPhone, iPad, iPod and MacBook. I received an audio file on WhatsApp on my iPhone but there was no way for me to play it in some other player on the phone. I moved to iPhone after using Android for years. So I found this a bit restraining. (iPhone tries to dictate what you can or cannot do with your data, files, phone logs etc).
I found the following hack fairly useful. Simply open WhatsApp in Chrome on your laptop (MacBook in my case), download the received audio file onto your MacBook and then drag and drop the audio file into iTunes on your MacBook. Then connect your iPhone / iPod / iPad to the MacBook and move the audio file onto the device. Voila.
You can save the received Whatsapp audio to your iphone by, 'long press on the audio file received', then select 'Forward' from the pop-up list, then click on the "Share" symbol at the bottom right end. In that list, select to "Add to Notes". Then in the subsequent box which appears, you can save this audio file as a 'New Note' or attach to any pre-existing file on your iphone. Choose 'Save' on the top right corner of the box.
AND DONE!!!!!!! Your Whatsapp audio is saved to your Notes App.
[If by chance you are not able to find your audio in 'Notes' App; click on the Back/Left Direction arrow on the top left corner of the screen in the Notes App, it would lead to "Folders" menu: "iCloud Notes" and "On My iPhone Notes". The audio would have got saved to "On my iPhone Notes" column]

You don't know.. simply you can save anything from Whatsapp to your Android devices.
So what? This is an Apple forum, not an Android forum. What you can do with an Android device isn't relevant.
