My iPod shuffle won't show up in iTunes or on my computer.

I bought a new iPod shuffle yesterday, and plugged it into my laptop to charge and it's charged okay but now it's not showing up in my iTunes or even at all on my computer as far as I can and it's really annoying me now. I've tried everything, I've gone through all the stuff on here, I've removed my iTunes from my computer and re-installed, still nothing. I've tried reseting the iPod but it doesn't work. I just want to be able to add some music to it, I don't know what to do anymore. It's really frustrating me now.

I had a similar issue, my 2nd Gen ipod shuffle that has been working fine for years did not show up in Itunes (I got a Windows message saying my USB device was not recognized). This issue started after I installed the latest version of itues, 11.2.0.115. I found this and it solved my problem.

Go to step 2 Restart the iPod Service.

I just stopped the ipod service and then started it again, now my shuffle shows up in itunes just like it used to.

I did try that before but it didn't work. It says in my 'devices & printers' that it's unspecified and when I troubleshooted it, it said that there isn't any iPod device drivers installed. And I asked at the apple store and someone told me to turn off my firewall. My iPod is charging right now so I'm going to try that, but if it still doesn't work, then what do I do about this 'iPod device drivers' problem, would uninstalling and re-installing iTunes make any difference. I've never had this problem before, so I don't know why it's happening.
