Yes I'm connected to the internet by Wi-Fi as usually.

On the first screenshot:

-Connected to my Wi-Fi

-Connected to my Halos Starkey by Bluetooth since a few minutes

--> low speed internet, I can't watch any YouTube video, it's so lagging

On the second screenshot: (2min later, i've just disabled Bluetooth)

-Connected to my Wi-Fi

-Bluetooth disabled

--> max internet speed

But this problem appears only sometimes, so yeah, maybe it's something else (like the AWDL)

Anyway, this problem has nothing to do here, sorry.

Thanks guys,

I have found that other bluetooth devices in the area tend to interfere with the hearing aids staying connected to your iphone. I have an iPad and use its own bluetooth to connect to a physical keyboard. Unfortunately, its aggressive bluetooth outreach tends to attempt to take over my hearing aids. Often this results in one hearing aid connected and the other disconnected. Disabling bluetooth on my ipad solves the issue.

I'm having the same problem. I've had handoff turned off from the beginning and still have problems. If BT is on on my iPad when I connect my hearing aids, one or the other will not stream. turn BT off and the aid streams fine. i can turn BT on once things are operating and it seems to stay correct unless I try to watch a video on my ipad then it tries to steal my hearing aids from another device and stops the video. After several times telling it I don't want it to do that, it stops, but it is a pain. I quit trying to pair my aids to the iPad because I had to forget them on my iPhone to do so and then pari them with the iPad which has been anything but smooth. Instead I turn the volume all the way up on the ipad and increase the volume of the HAs on my iphone. Then I can hear.

Again it is not handoff, but some feature within os8 or the strakey BT. There is no way to tell the HAs or the OS, "THis is what I want to do, now do it!"

You all have 8.3 installed now? I haven't been invited to install it yet. Canada always seems slower to receive goodies. I do have a puzzle though to ask about. When I got these Halos my audi told me never to update until Starkey told me it was OK. I have never heard from Starkey on this subject. General question for members of this stream: Did you get that advice? I am seeing my audi on Wednesday to have her add "Car" (thanks OldGnome) and I will ask her what happened to the supposed Starkey involvement. I like the Halos but they sure require a lot more attention than my old Widex!!

I just looked back at some older queries and see that I already mentioned that I got 8.2 later than you USians! and I already complained about Starkey's disengagement! Sigh! and Sorry.

I don't think starkey even notifies its audis about updates. I saw my Audi last the day he had been to a meeting of Starkey Audis in the region and he did not know about the Firmware update that most of us learned about here that had come out several days before. He checked and sure enough and he loaded it. I still do not see why we can't do those updates from the comfort of our home. Such is life.

I haven't had any problems with the update either. I was elated with the SOUNDSPACE ability to adjust the STREAMING audio. I made a setting called "Podcasts" which is tailored to make streaming audio MUCH better.

I did notice that this latest update made pairing and connecting MUCH smoother. STREAMED audio still has some "artifacts" but that is an issue with the Bluetooth specification, not with the starkeys, or with the iPhone. Since I use streamed audio primarily for listening to NEWS and TALK RADIO, rather than for music, I find the artifacts "tolerable." With each iteration, there has been an improvement.

I was an "early adopter" to "Made For iPhone" hearing aids, so I remember all the pain of the first release. Right now, I'm listening to a financial podcast, and am very pleased with the quality that I'm getting NOWADAYS.

From the beginning, I've had nothing but problems with Bluetooth and my Halos. I finally got the streaming to work most of the time. The 8.3 update has broken it. Now I'm only streaming to the left ear. I've tried all the fixes again and again. I sure wish that I'd never purchased this product. I much prefer the reliability of T-coils. When BT works, it is amazing. In my opinion, though, the Halos connection with Apple devices are simply too bug ridden to be dependable for hearing loss solutions.

Good to know that some of the Halos are working as advertised. Maybe some are more stable in their manufacturing than other. I'm glad that people are posting. I have found some great things to try.
